Recipe form the 'baking' (love food) book for the best and the easiest chocolate chip cookies. There is about 5 minutes of preparation required and only 10 minutes in the oven! Perfect recipe, for anyone, even those who don't normally bake. Worth trying as it might just become one of your favourites- just like in my family :)
- 175g plain flour
- 1tsp baking powder
- 125g soft butter
- 85g muscovado sugar
- 55g caster sugar
- 1tsp vanilla paste/ extract
- 1 egg
- 125g milk chocolate chips
Line two baking trays and leave aside.
Preheat the oven to 190C.
Place all of the ingredients and beat until well combined.
Place tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto prepared baking trays- leave a lot of space between them as they will spread while baking.
(I made each cookie from about 1,5-2tbsp of the mixture to make them larger)
Bake for 10 minutes if small or 12 if larger like mine.
Take out and leave aside to cool. Cookies are soft when take out the oven but will be more firm when cooled (but still slightly chewy in the middle :) )
The recipe makes 25 small or 12 large cookies.
