Super-healthy banana and strawberry oaty bars



The healthiest recipe on the blog! Flapjacks with no fat or sugar- all the sweetness comes from the bananas and honey, with crunchy seeds, dried fruit and a hint of cinnamon.  Guilt-free treats, anyone?


Ingredients:
  • 60g oats
  • 30g oat bran
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame seeds)
  • 1 ripe banana 
  • 2 1/2 tbsp honey
  • handful of freeze dried strawberries (you can use raisins, cranberries or other fried fruit instead)

Add oats, oat bran, cinnamon, seeds and dried fruit into a bowl and mix.

Blend a banana with honey, until smooth, then add to the dry mixture and mix until well combined.

Line a small baking tray (19cm x 10cm) and press the mixture firmly into the tin.

Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180C for about 20-25 minutes.

Leave to cool a little, then cut into 6.
